FinalGrade is a small set of free calculators built around one piece of school maths: the weighted average. It answers the three questions students actually ask at the end of a term — "what do I need on the final?", "what is my weighted grade so far?", and "what did that exam do to my grade?" — and it shows the formula behind every answer.
Two principles set the tone here. First, honest edge cases: if a target grade needs more than 100% on the exam, the site says it is mathematically out of reach rather than printing a meaningless number; if a grade is already secured, it says that too. Second, stated conventions: unfinished coursework is normalised rather than counted as zeros, letter cut-offs follow the common US plus/minus scale, and both choices are explained on the pages that use them, because schools differ.
Everything runs locally in your browser — there is no account, no server-side calculation and nothing to install. FinalGrade is an independent educational tool; it is not affiliated with any school, district or exam board, and a number here never overrides your syllabus.
